I have no idea what to title this so i'll just stick with this. Hoho.
Behold~
Loot from Bugis! Am stoked i got that spiked choker, cause i've been wanting one since Sec sch! I have a penchant for Gothic stuff. <3 And am totally planning to get a peter-pan collar and rabbit-head ring to dress up the pink shirt a bit, hopefully i can succeed in pulling off a whimsical look. :)
Went with Sam on this little shopping spree today, no pix cause i didn't bring my cam tho~
In the meantime, school has started. Maybe it was already sort of ridiculous to begin with, but now i find the process of 'studying' in my course rather...brain-numbing and foolish. Unlike sec school-where we racked and actually used our brains for every subject we had(except for PE haha)-, 'studying' here consists of rote memorization.
Well, every subject apart from Visual Merchandising that is...where we just have to think creatively to come up with solutions for textbook problems we'll be up against. I have a hunch that this'll be my most favorite subject yet. :D
Now i'll just have to somehow eliminate this constant mental refrain of 'I wanna/should be in Laselle now!' and i'll be set to conquer this semester to the best of my abilities! And hopefully get rid of this feeling of displacement as well. I truly don't think/feel that i belong here. But everything happens for a reason i guess.
Nights y'all. :)

During these hols-
-I' ve -lost 3 kg of weight,
-Gained both cash and 'life experience' during my stint in Giordano,
- Enjoyed delish food and company, and lastly,
- found that my desire to have a puppy/cat has increased considerably.
Oh and also had my heart stolen by this pretty pair of shoes i saw in City Plaza. <3
Also watched Sinister twice(pics haven't been uploaded yet, so..), haha.
Anyway, i'm seriously hating and dreading the idea of having to return to school tomorrow. All those days of lounging around comfortably, having fun with friends without a care and enjoying my own company, reading/watching tv/taking long night walks without a twinge of regret at neglecting my studies... ):
Damn these 2 months for passing so quickly.
Come tomorrow, it'll be a massive crush of students...people filling up the corridors, people cramming the rooms in which we're supposed to get our schoolbooks, etc... my heart positively palpitates with j o y.

And don't even get me started on the whole oppressive-educational-regime shit that's gonna go down for the next 6 months.
I just wish next year would just come already, so that i can finally be in Laselle; the school i've wanted so badly to be in ever since i graduated from SMSS!!!
All this business-school shit and the aggravating poly life is not doing any wonders for me, as one can (obviously) surmise.
Sigh.
On another completely random note,:

..."He'd become a laughing stock among his neighbours".
HAHAHA.

Am also considering these purchases:

The watch is the exact design i've been wanting for so long, and the bag seems rather functional and stylish? :) The earrings are a more likely buy for now, since they're obviously more affordable than the watch and bag...i should probably get either as a self-reward for slogging away in G______ for so long anyway.
Teehee.
Nights all. :)

Sinister(some spoilers)~
Went to Bishan to watch said movie with my mum today! It was...morbidly good. Or well, 'good' if you're into morbid stuff like i am. XD
We missed the beginning of the movie-cause we got lost en route-, and others had occupied our rightful seats, so we sat near the exit instead. I think that seating position kind of stepped up a psychological ramp for me...not being surrounded by other people while waiting for the demons to appear, whilst bathed in that glowing light emitting from the Exit sign...such an uncomfortable spot. >.<
Anyway, the movie stood out for me for a number of morbid reasons; a writer finds a box of tapes in the attic of his new house and it turns out those tapes are of real-life, gruesome killings. Initially he wants to call the police, but eventually sets down the phone because he, being fame-hungry, wanted those scenes to be the base of his new novel.
Gotta admit, a species of morbid curiousity had me looking forward to finding out the contents of those innocuously labelled tapes(eg: a tape was labelled 'Pool Party' and the people in that film didn't know that someone/something was taping them. Later on at night, the scene shows those same people taped to the lawn chairs and drowned one by one..to add to the morbidity, the feet of those submerged were twitching..very much alive).
To cut a long story short, this movie completely isn't for the faint hearted/ those who abhor morbid, gruesome scenes...the kicker is when, at the end of the film, the killers are revealed to be the murdered people's very own offspring(cause they were possessed by the demon, etc). The killings are hella bloody and awful to watch, esp a scene with a lawn mower >_<. Kinda of like what happened in a Stephen King novel(Misery)~
Oh and the ending of 'Pool Party'-the son of those drowned victims appeared on film, lifted a finger to his lips while staring directly at the camera and slipped into the pool presumably for a swim...among those drowned corpses. Max morbid and chilling..
Then there was this scene in which demon children were stalking the writer at night, the tension felt was really no joke! I plugged in my iPod to listen to songs to relieve said tension and titles like 'When They Come for Me' and 'I'll be Gone'(Linkin Park) kept on popping up. -_____-
Talk about backfires.
Mum didn't like it, cause it didn't seem realistic to her, but i did! I'm a morbid little creature. >:)
Ah, if only if there were a print version of Sinister...it'd fit right in with my other horror novels. Wouldn;t buy the film version cause i scare easily when it comes to visuals -.-
The storyplot is morbidly good and eerie/disturbing enough for me tho.
Anyhow, went on a mini shopping spree after the movie, and got these accessories!:
Really nice gold filigree bracelet and silver heart earrings from Diva, and pretty red hairband from Helen! Mum got me the latter cause Helen had this 'buy 2 get one free' offer. <3 Mad love it~~
Placed my Hokkaido turtle plushie at the back, cause i act cute like that.
HAHAHA.
In other news...i've offically lost weight! 3+ kg, not bad if i say so myself :D
Slimmer thighs and an inch of belly fat lost! Now if only if i could get rid of this underarm flab...
:DD Indeed a fruitful holiday <3
Now i'm gonna game and read even more Reddit stories.

Admirable!

"Walk a mile in someone else's shoes" is a phrase often said to those who show prejudice toward an individual or a group. And empathy is seen as the first step toward abolishing those very same hatreds and stereotypes.

In the process, he made tons of new gay friends, overcame an initial "revulsion" to the lifestyle and even attended gay rights protests against the Vatican.
But he also saw the ugly side of humanity, the side that routinely hurtled derogatory and abusive slurs at him and made him feel excluded.
"When I was first called [faggot] for real, I lost it. I saw red. I felt so violated by that word," he tells the paper.
By the end of his project, Kurek's views had completely changed.
"I want this seen as a people issue," he writes in his book. "When we are shunning people, we are shunning Fred and John and Liz and Mary. These are human people."
Just as importantly, his mother, who initially wrote in her journal that she would rather have "terminal cancer" than a gay son, is now a fervent supporter of LGBT rights.
Dang, this man seriously has some guts!! What a hero he is for homosexual committees!

"…A true soul mate is a mirror, the person who shows you
everything that’s holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. A true soul mate is probably the most important person you’ll ever meet, because they tear down your walls and smack you awake. But to live with a soul mate forever. Nah. Too painful. Soul mates, they come into your life just to reveal another layer of yourself
to you, and then they leave. And thank God for it."
to you, and then they leave. And thank God for it."

Such beings-
There are two types of people on this planet: People people...and Fireworks.
You know the kind: Someone you saw, at a certain place or time who said or did a certain something that completely blew your mind. I don't think I can say it any better than Jack Kerouac when he wrote in his classic On The Road
[Katy Perry's "fireworks" was inspired by this exact line!]
Just another awesome blog i've been reading :)
I wonder if i'll ever find such people...hmm.
Anyway, i explored my neighbourhood at 8pm+ today, for the first time in 7 years.
You'd have thought that someone would be well acquainted with her neighbourhood after 7 years but noooo, not this chicka. Haha.
Walking alone along shadowed pavements with the chill night wind gusting lightly all around you, earpieces pumping melodious and soothing songs into one's ears...there's that certain beauty and sense of serenity, a peace with oneself if i may say so, in such things.
Plus, found scenic spots where i can take fashion pix sometime in the near future! Yay :)
In the meantime, my social life has now dawdled to a miserable stop. But on the flip side, this means more time for working on my portfolio(gotta do sculptures and whatnot plus write an essay. An essay!) and working out, plus-cue the cheesiness-get in touch with myself again.
I don't mean the whole 'who-am-i,why-am-i-here' thing but to reconciliate the fact that, well...(insert private stuff here). And it's time i started being responsible for my own happiness i guess. :)
I shall concur by leaving y'all with this adorbs pic:

'-Yeah, you bleed just to know you're alive.-
And i don't want the world to see me,
cause i don't think that they'd understand.
When everything's made to be broken,
i just want you to know who i am.'
This song never gets old. <3

Freedom~
Finally quit! :) Such a relief, cause the enviroment is honestly the most stressful i've ever been in. Not to mention the unreasonable boss-in-charge of the region i work in and the equally unreasonable and irascible in-charge that's the bane of every other worker in the shop i work at.
-_-
Candidly and honestly speaking, i've lost more than i gained from these hols i guess, and i'm not just talking about monetary issues...like the $70 fee i had to pay for not attending the company dinner(like seriously, you say you value your employees and all then fine them when they wish to exercise their own free will?)and the 80% uniform-charge i've to pay for not staying on for 3 months...
G..d..o's really the worst, most fake and toxic company i've ever encountered. -_- Never ever work there, esp. not at the Novena branch please, peeps.
Anyway, nothing much going on these days.
Ta~

Miryo Ft Sunny, 'I Love You'.
Me being a n00b, i have no idea how to post vids from Youtube to here, so.
Anyway, Sunny has such a clear-and as one of the commentators put it-sensitive, beautiful voice.
Hope i'll learn the Korean lyrics by heart so i can rap/sing this in KBox soon! Hee.
Nothing much today, just church and a little picnic with church members and such...honestly, i think i may be a little 'turned around', just a little more convinced to join this church. The quiet conviction, sincerity and all... :)
Formal wedding dinner on in less than an hour and i gotta go rush.
Toodles! :)

Innovative designs

All of these beautiful, awe-inspiring and throughoutly innovative pieces are designed by Estaban Cortazar...i must say, i chanced upon his collection while riffling through a few blogs and the white coat-with exaggerated collar-had me staring at the screen for a few good seconds.
I absolutely love and adore and admire designers who can come up with such innovative, inspired pieces!
...yet on another note, i must confess, the lovely pink dress(in the middle) kind of reminds me of those dresses in the Han Dynasty..
Nevertheless, i am now a fan of his creations. <3 :D

Hodgepodge of pics
Met R. dear for dinner at Tarafuku Japanese Buffet today and ate enough to feed an elephant today. I have no regrets :D
The veg curry, rice and sashimi were superb as usual! And the ice cream! <3
The sashimi at this restaurant's truly the best i've ever tasted so far-the salmon has sizeable fatty streaks, and it is so fresh-and the veg curry with rice...they say eating rice at buffets is a waste of tummy space, but i think it's pretty warranted in the case of this delicious, savory curry :D
The only pic of the day(cause we were busy nomming at the beginning):

And say hi to my new baby!
There's actually a designated slot for iPads and i think it's cool, actually :D
And i'm digging the interior.
Now all that's left to get is a pair of new black sandals and i'll be set! :D
Shall be off to hide the receipts soon...if i don't, i fear i'll wake up to an angry mother

...who has made it a point to check all receipts in my room during the holidays. -_-
Anyway, some pics i found:

Photo and illustrations by Nick Knight
If i could reach such levels of art such as he i'd be so happy~
And, fashion pix; Alexander McQueen Spring/Summer 2013 :
<- I LOVE THIS DRESS. Such a stark and startling contrast against pale skin... I really like what seems to be to be ingenuity(to me) in that honeycomb pattern against the coral dress with daisies on the hem too.
I don't normally like white dresses, but this one obviously would do a good job of gracing one's upper torso silhouette...i love it!

The word 'balustrade' abruptly pops into my head when i look at that gorgeous black dress... i googled it and it means 'A rail and the row of balusters or posts that support it'. My mind works in strange ways sometimes. -.-
Still can't get over how perfect and stunning it is.

Pleasant colour combi on the dress on the right, i would think...

Alexander Mcqueen has always been my absolute favorite designer-or, since the great man passed away, 'designers')working under his name), i guess...
I still have an entire marathon to go, in terms of learning the ropes in fashion design, pattern making and all the other technicalities, but i do, fervently hope that someday, i'll be qualified to work as a designer at/under Alexander Mcqueen...and make a name for myself in the process too, hopefully. Haha :) It would be such an honor.
Getting late now, so i guess i'll end of with this-
Saint Laurent Spring/Summer 2013
I want it! Sans the cape, of course, and hopefully in forest green or navy blue? :D Wouldn't be surprised to find knock-offs of this dress popping up at FEP and Bugis sometime soon, heehee.
Nights peeps ^^

Some other Reddit stories~

Who would've thought that oranges could play a role in true life horror? o.o
The story seems real enough and the freaky lady, being or whatever it is is one heckofa scary woman. O_o
http://www.reddit.com/user/ClaverhouseEmails/submitted/ <- Hi stories are really quite cleverly and beautifully written! There's something about his style of writing that i really like too; kinda makes you feel as though you're watching everything unfold before your own eyes. Nice :D
http://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/y7qw0/a_face_in_the_crowd/ <- very nice twist in the plot at the end!
http://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/yf61f/the_cat/ <- If you already hate/dislike/ am scared of cats..this one is not for you. O.o I adore cats but after this story.. ><
Unrelated,but:

The Rock! Omg :D He was my very first favourite wrestler when i was in Pri sch(followed by The Undertaker, Kane, that short Mexican guy who always wore a mask, etc... :D)
Anyway, in other news,..i found out that i wasn't the only one who found my current workplace's 'culture' superrrr strict and rigid. This co-worker who was really outgoing, friendly and humurous in the beginning now's at the other end of the mood spectrum. ): We had a little heart-to-heart session in the store today. Poor, overworked guy. ):
Perhaps it'd be good for future retail/f&b job-seekers to scope out their intended place of employment before applying for a job there? Maybe it'll help determine if one's work ethics gel with said employment site(and thus prevent any regret, dissatisfaction, etc...).
But that's just what i'd suggest anyway. Haha~
Jap buffet with R. tmr, can't wait!
SASHIMI. Veg curry rice and delicious fried salmon skin!!!

...at where i had my belated 19th. OMG SASHIMI. <3
Am off to languish in bed dreaming of all that yumminess now. Gyming will wait till after. :D

http://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/y7qw0/a_face_in_the_crowd/ <- very nice twist in the plot at the end!
http://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/yf61f/the_cat/ <- If you already hate/dislike/ am scared of cats..this one is not for you.

Nights y'all!

Personality quiz~
Your view on yourself:
Other people find you very interesting, but you are really hiding your true self. Your friends love you because you are a good listener. They'll probably still love you if you learn to be yourself with them.
The type of girlfriend/boyfriend you are looking for:
You are not looking merely for a girl/boyfriend - you are looking for your life partner. Perhaps you should be more open-minded about who you spend time with. The person you are looking for might hide their charm under their exterior.
Your readiness to commit to a relationship:
You are ready to commit as soon as you meet the right person. And you believe you will pretty much know as soon as you might that person.
Your views on education
Education is very important in life. You want to study hard and learn as much as you can.
The right job for you:
You're a practical person and will choose a secure job with a steady income. Knowing what you like to do is important. Find a regular job doing just that and you'll be set for life.
How do you view success:
Success in your career is not the most important thing in life. You are content with what you have and think that being with someone you love is more than spending all of your precious time just working.
What are you most afraid of:
You are concerned about your image and the way others see you. This means that you try very hard to be accepted by other people. It's time for you to believe in who you are, not what you wear.
Who is your true self:
You are mature, reasonable, honest and give good advice. People ask for your comments on all sorts of different issues. Sometimes you might find yourself in a dilemma when trapped with a problem, which your heart rather than your head needs to solve. On clothes of choice~
