Weirdos
You say and act one way and offer your hand in friendship, then abruptly turn around and rudely ignore me when i come across you and them in real life.
Like...
...whut (iswrongwithyou).
->
Lack of sleep and crazy hormonal imbalances are making me one irritable, tetchy girl, and i would really like to give some haters a good smack on their noses and throw them down something.
Preferably:

...also, how any decent being can find 'friendship' forged in spite-against other girls-gratifying and fulfilling is really a mystery to me. But such is the chasm between different types of girls, perhaps.
Graduation in 3/4 more months or so. Imma make this as fun as i possibly can!
Nights y'all.

Hectic~
Exams, outings and formal dinners-all these timings seem to collide! It's the very last sem for Poly, so i want to give this my last, best shot, but i can't seem to find a balance between fun(outings, etc) and work(finding time to complete sets of notes, etc)...
But anyway.
So, caught Breaking Sawn with S. and A on Fri! Twas freezing cold on that day-huge blustery winds of rain and black clouds massed above the skies-so i got a cute new long-sleeved top from MSC <3
Then we took lots of photos in the train en route to PS and watched it.
Breaking Dawn was hella...brutal. Heads-and a jaw-being ripped off, etc...gotta say, i was taken aback cause i thought that it was this really tame show for tweens. Either that or tweens these days are now desensitized to such things. Ah well. (really tired so i may just start rambling on here)
It was sort of anti-climatic near the end though, when the huge war actually turned out to be nothing more than a vision, and that a happy ending was inevitable. One would at least expect something more out of it, what with all the vampires conglomerating, ready to protect Bella and her kid and all that fuss made... or maybe it's just me. But what can one expect of the Twilight series, anyway?
Random, but this is what flits through my mind whenever i think 'Twilight' these days. Don't ask why..
Pix!

<- New top!
Then, caught Ah Boys to Men today with Sarah, at Shaw ^^ We had Macs first, and i must say, the BLT is good! I wouldn't mind working out more to burn more calories just to eat another of those, teehee.
The movie was good. :) And watching it brought out some unexpected emotions for me; sadness(like hey, those are our fallen fellow Singaporeans)and national pride. Unexpected really, cause while i knew there were gonna be bombing and war scenes, i didn't expect it to be so...intense, i guess.
Hope Part 2 will come out soon!
Had a Charity-Dinner event in the evening at some restaurant at Safra with dad's company; what i wore:
...and it was off to the event, where (once again), we had entertainers dance Gangnam style for us. So far there've been 5 such shows going on and the last involved a string of Japanese businessmen-affiliates of my dad's company-being taught Gangnam style by this really enthusiastic entertainer. Quite amusing actually, but gangnam style's now seriously overblown.
It's everywhere.

Quelle horreur.
Food was good but nothing special i guess. Had a camwhoring session upon reaching home!
I aim to have a whole room full of soft toys-from Otaru, le magical land of pastries, toys and all things beautiful and delicate!-by 30. And even if i do eventually grow out of them(heaven forbid!), they shall become heirlooms for my future kids/ grandkids!
Ha.
Well, off to bed now...
G'night y'all ^^

Bon Mot:
An ignorant person may think that there is a correlation between ones IQ and their knowledge. But there is no such thing. Knowledge and intelligence are two different things. IQ has nothing to do with knowledge, memorized things, or what you know. There is a difference between knowledge and intelligence. Intelligence, you are born with and knowledge can be attained and accumulated. Knowledge is what is learned rather than intelligence which is what you are born with. A person with an IQ in the genius range can actually get bad grades, and fail school. The difference is a person with greater intelligence has the greater potential and understanding. We can see and understand things that others can't. We can figure out a problem simply by looking at it and find out alternate ways to solve a problem and find a solution by using logic. There could be a college professor with a mere IQ of 102 who got there by studding and memorization, while there is a janitor, with an IQ of 160 in the genius range, and you'd never even know it. We often think for our selves and come to our own conclusions rather simply accepting what the crowd tells us and following in the pack of sheeple.
We are often introverted, lazy, social outcasts, and suck with people and society in general. Due to our way of thought and lack of understanding people, we often don't fit in. This has been my case, but of course it varies per person and not all of us share these traits. Unless you can somehow get into someone elses mind, there is no way of knowing.

Loot, glorious loot~
This month is chockaful with formal dinners, etc, so as usual, i armed myself with my card, some savings and a pair of comfy footwear and went shopping! With S. ^_^
Today was supposed to be some 'field trip' for my Retail class, but as always, anything and everything can be turned into shopping-time. Teehee~
I really like this dress! <3 Mango's. Heels from FEP, pretty accessories from SIX, metallic blue OPI polish and Bat For Lashes's latest cd ^_^
Just adore how the accessories complement the dress so...
...first and last time i'll ever let myself splurge on costume jewelry...it is intricate and beautiful though!
Also got this bracelet, so i could alternate sets of accessories with this dress.
'Tis dull but nothing some liquid detergent/ lemon juice won't fix i bet!
My really tall drag-queen-esque heels. Don't suppose i'll be wearing these for casual walks down the street...
Ear-candy! <3 One of my happiest buys of the day :D The piano version of 'Laura' by this talented pianist is really good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r2i7TkGwOCw
And that cat! <3 So cute. And also i kinda find it amusing to see such intense concentration and beautific enjoyment on the pianist's part-who's completely caught up in the haunting, gorgeous tunes-overriding the kitty's constant interference and pleading for attention. Such concentration!
Now allow me to rave a bit about this glorious novel that i just finished today...
It's one of the best books i've read this month, and it seems to me to be one of the best books out there!
It's also a seriously old book(started in 1981 and finished in 1985; now that's dedication for you), and in my humble opinion, one of his greatest ever crafted creations.
I first experienced this book when i was in primary school, a wee lil thing whose range of literature ranged from Enid Blyton to Stephen King and whatever books i could get my hands on in those days. Being 8, i hadn't been exposed to the world Stephen King(S.K) had created through his other novels-like the Dark Tower Series-, so this came across as nonsensical to me, said 'nonsensical-ity' stemming from the 'eye' in the sewers, etc. I was disappointed too, because at that age my knowledge of monsters only expanded to full-out gore and solid, fixed human/demon figures, so i wasn't open to-or couldn't grasp-the concept of a vague, yet tangible being who could assume the form of every character's fears. Thus was my literary lust for blood, gore and morbidity unslaked.
I'm so glad i decided to give it another chance. Also, so glad my polytechnic has such a range of S.K's works available! But i digress.
Now that i'm older and have had considerably more exposure to his world, i find it much more easier to appreciate the characters, and their ordeals and own private little struggles. Forgive me if i sound sadistic(but hey, it's a S.K novel we're talking about here right?).
What really encompassed me in that warm, beatific glow-that a really good book can give you-was the ending. It was perfectly bittersweet and...this'll sound nuts, but in a sense, the ending almost gives one the vision of a warm, golden glow that only past happy memories can give? In short, it perfectly encompassed what stands for the end of childhood; beautiful afterimages and the passing of little-kid memories. That bittersweet ending actually evokes nostalgia, and that certain, serene, happy-yet-heart-aching emotion that accompanies all ends of childhood scenarios and endings.
Sigh.
...how i do love Stephen King's works so. There'll go some of my cash again, this time on more meaningful literary works. <3
Anyway, now that i've gotten my adoration-and the profound impact it's had on me-for this lovely novel across...it's time for more mundane things i guess.
Like homework.
Tsk.
Ah, but if i were a bonafide horror-novel reviewer, sipping sweet wine/any other drink of choice, avidly poring through carefully crafted works of literary art, enthusiastically raving about said novels in columns and the like...
But reality awaits. -_-
Ta, peeps! ^_^

Movies
On Sat~

Lunch at HK Cafe and caught Pitch Perfect with S.! We planned to wear dresses that day and i ended up freezing my ass off in Lido -.-
Said movie seemed kind of...forgettable though. What really caught my attention were the sick mashups the female protagonist was playing! Would totally buy a cd of it, if they had any.
Dose beats.

And Fat Amy was bangin'! I watched the film cause of her, actually, and she totally did not disappoint <3. Other than that...the ending seemed kinda disappointing. Was expecting something else bigger, i guess~
Also, watched Skyfall with J. and his friend today. Now i know for sure that i'm not for the Bond franchise -.- The scene where Bond was being attacked whilst hiding in that huge stone house of his was exciting tho! Explosions! Tear gas! Or maybe it was the beautiful contrast of searing, raging flames against the impassive navy sky that made it memorable for me i guess.
How i wish for a movie that'll totally blow my socks off again(like Brave and Sinister).
On another note:

Hand-painted jewelry by Mary Lou.
Why ain't these beauties available online?! I would totally get the owl ring and necklace and maybe the fox ring too!
Shall cap this off with eye-candy:

Copped his pics off the net; he's really pretty/attractive!
Teehee.
Nights y'all~

Fly me away
My only wish(for now)...is to get out of here as soon as possible.
This feeling of displacement, of being an absolute oddball in such an enviroment can really wear one down.
-_-
On another note: http://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/12s4sd/dead_hands_in_the_water/
A whole town, submerged and new generations paddle above it, oblivious of the long-dead and drowned malignant presences within...i'd totally pay to see a horror with such a storyline O:

Beautiful art
Surfin the net when i came across these illustrations by Yuko Shimizu, an artist whs's been reguraly mistaken as the creator of hello kitty! Her artwork is...unique and sometimes bizarre, i would say...

...i wouldn't mind getting this as a t-shirt print/iPhone case!

Love this one too :DD

<-just...wow.
Check out more of her work here! http://yukoart.com/category/work/
Mindblown but in a really good way. :))
