Awkward

Alright so basically some guy-who apparently knows me in rl-just told me(online) that i would look better without bangs and that he would like to get _______ with me.
Idk how to feel about that.
Embarrassed, curious(as to who he is cause he just contacted me out of the blue)and..honestly, wondering about the hairstyle thing.
Maybe i should change it, but i don't think i'm gonna do so while i haven't graduated yet...
god is this strange and embarrassing.

Anyway.

Never had it easy when it came to such matters anyway.

Wtf

Over-protective parents:

"You have to be back before 11.30pm latest."
"You can't go overseas unless it's to Japan where it's safe(or so it seems but i've actually done some research that suggests otherwise...especially for girls.). If you want to go to Thailand you have to travel with a tour group of 10 people!" (but every part of the world holds some degree of danger...)
"No drinking."
"No you can't stay over at chalets unless it's with a bunch of girlfriends we know."

...at this rate what's left of my teen-hood will be a pitiful wreck...20 this year and i still face so many restrictions!!!
My mum's seriously over-paranoid wtf.
So smothering it stifles me.
I just want to live in my teens, but they're blocking my way with their unreasonable, irrational fears.

Annnnddd due to this, my grad trip has to be cancelled.
What may be a once-in-a-lifetime grad trip with poly friends.
Just marvelous.
...Marvelous.

Inspiration

iris-van-herpen
http://www.irisvanherpen.com/
"...For one design, the ‘pythagoras tree' dress Van Herpen introduced a technique referred to as mammoth stereolithography which refers to a 3D printing method. This 3D printed process is built slice by slice from bottom to top, in a vessel of semi-transparent polymer that hardens when struck by a laser beam."

The very first fashion designer i'm adoring right now, next to Alexander Mcqueen.
My vocabulary is insufficient to describe this breath taking, riveting collection-and what a startlingly wonderous method of creation!!
Really..words fail me. This blog describes it perfectly:

Two more pics from her blog:
<- How this designer managed to create that 'splash' is beyond me. Acrylic? 'Mammoth stereolithography'?

Omg hot!

Harry Potter and his friends after Hogwarts

Harry and Draco are soooooo...omg.
...for some reason, i find that the cut and quality of one's clothes make them appear more attractive than they actually are, sometimes.
A good cut molds to the body's contours perfectly and hides all imperfections and makes one look sleeker...quality is of course, an extra bonus :DD
Really shouldn't be prattling on here when i'm supposed to be working on my project. -.-
Ta! :)

A word:

1. Lunch with S. after accompanying K and another classmate to Bishan to grab their coffee and biscuits
2-4: Camwhoring with my new hair accessory before meeting Odie dear :)

We watched 'Mama' at Plaza Sing today, after dining at B.K at Novena! Mama was okay, though i think the ghost looked like it belonged in some Thai B-grade horror flick. Crowd in the theatre was really funny and responsive to the movie too; some people in the front exclaimed loudly when the protagonist was about to discover the ghost and the whole theatre laughed. Sounds mean but it felt friendly at that time :)
Also, there was this scene where the ghost approached this 'intruder'-after knocking the protagonist out-and it kinda of...it's crown of wispy, floating hair came sliding through the wood floor before leaping out at said intruder. Maybe it's the bimbo in me, but i couldn't help but notice how silky and clean it looked in comparison to it's desiccated body...it looked more like a hair ad to me! Put that scene in a bathroom with a bottle of clearly labelled shampoo and the producers could have earned extra by doing product advertising, i tell you.
There wasn't enough time after to shop at Bugis as planned, so we simply walked around a bit before going home. We were both tired, but i appreciate the time spent with a good friend. :))

On another note, Odie and i were abroad the bus to P.S when i couldn't help but notice this pretty Western girl. I guess she must have taken my lingering glance the wrong way(no, not that way), because she did the 'Up-Down look', stared hard at my sizable body and smirked meanly. Honestly, i was a bit taken aback, because...who does that??? A rather gauche, obviously rude and uncultured action, in my opinion, and i'm not saying it as a form of cheap retaliation. I simply stared back at her and judged her.
Maybe she wasn't used to that sort of reaction from 'my kind', because she stopped short and started looking around uncomfortably in every direction but mine afterwards.
A small note to anyone who may be reading this: Remind yourself that you are everyone's equal-no matter what your circumstances may be-and that you've a right to be where you are right now. And just be firm and confident in dealing with these sort of beings!

Bigger-sized people do have it tougher-social stigma(apparently some people choose friends based on looks-a social status thing, i suppose [super shallow and insincere way to make 'friends', if you ask me] ) and we bigger-sized people sometimes get hated based on for no marginally-better reason than our size.
It is our fault to some extent, i think. Some may not exercise/work at keeping slim out of sheer lack of discipline and willpower; some may not have time to keep fit..the list goes on. Some however, may not be able to keep fit due to medical problems like heart disease and angina(chest pain). Others may gorge themselves sick on food due to emotional issues, stress and comfort-eating; the list could go on...
Just food for thought.

But anyway, i guess it was good i had this little experience-it really reminded me that i've been really slack in losing weight! Lost 4kg a month plus ago and i've 10kg more to lose.
It's enough motivation for an hour of jogging and skipping rope on the weekends and whenever possible! Plus there's a current lull before exams so, might as well.~

My, how i've rambled.
Time to hit the sack, i think!
Nights y'all :)

Shopping!

...on a less grand scale, but nevertheless
S h o p p i n gggg. :DD

Went to Yew Tee on a impromptu outing with K., S and L today after our major IB test! We headed to this pasar malam to grab food first-honestly speaking, that was the first time i've ever eaten smth from a pasar malam-and saw these really nice clothes en route to the shopping center to get K.'s fave cheese fries.
Then went to IMM for Daiso! Why so far, you may ask.
I'll have to get back back to you on that one.
Anyway, totally ran out of cash today so today's stuff was all (temporarily) 'sponsored' by K.!

<- Stuff for project, long overdue and much needed board and glittery blue pushpins(to tack reminders, etc on there), tubes to store handcream in, body sponge to exfoliate and a nice top :)) Only $12!
Cheap thrills, once again. Ha :))

Alright, time to start on that report before grabbing some sleep before the presentation.
On the bright hand, movie and dinner with Odie dear on fri and a possible return to Yew Tee tmr to get two more cute tops! Ahaha <3

Oh and this:

Sarah and i thought last Sun was Laselle's open house, so we went there only to be kinda disappointed. Not all was lost though! At least we had a chance to view exhibits :)
Also, lunch at this French restaurant in the vicinity!
If i should ever get into Laselle(gonna have to buck up and chiong for the portfolio after the exams!), i'm gonna be bankrupt and fat simultaneously. Bugis and Sim Lim Square behind it; yummy Indian food beyond and at it's flanks, restaurants, cafes and the like...!!
It's like a sure-death trap for gluttonous spendthrifts like me. -.- Self-restraint and discipline has long been due anyway i guess.
Anyway, had a really nice catch-up with this old friend of mine :)) What's past is past and i'll have to be punctual not only for meet-ups but for the rest of everything, cause 'being punctual is a hallmark of a successful person'(as i've read somewhere).
So, yup. :)

Probably should stop rambling and get to my project now.
Nights y'all! :)

Infuriated

http://sg.news.yahoo.com/indian-guru-blames-delhi-rape-victim-070001674.html
'-Public figures blaming women for the country's rape epidemic-'

WTF is wrong with these old I...... bastards?!!! As if it isn't bad enough that one of their kind have already brutally violated and destroyed a completely innocent female!!
By 'their kind' i obviously mean creatures; things with absolutely no morals or decency to speak of!

Of course it's inexplicably hard to change that century-old, widely held notion that 'women are beneath men' in India, despite an emerging acceptance of Western culture(where women are supposedly treated like ladies and are seen as equals), but for these influential speakers to actually place blame on that tragic, unfortunate innocent lady and all those other poor victims of rape..it's an utter abomination.
WTF is wrong with these f**kers?!!
And honestly; it isn't as if those poor women in India strolled about in cleavage-baring, short skirted ensembles, flirting their lashes at all and sundry. They simply don the traditional indian garments and somehow those rapists(bastards)with their nethanderal traits and customs thought it their right to plunder them.
Those poor women are a father's daughters and in some cases, some are wives.
Wouldn't a real man feel the need to protect the females in his family?? Shouldn't men of that nation at least make that society a better and safer place for their loved ones by teaching their sons how to properly respect a female??

"Their notions of... an ideal society appear rooted in the very prejudices that have engendered a culture of violence against women, the Delhi incident being its most recent and horrific manifestation," the newspaper said.
Abhijit Mukherjee, the son of India's president who is a Congress lawmaker, landed himself in hot water last month after comparing women who took part in protests over the gang-rape to patched up second-hand cars."

I don't even understand why women in India haven't migrated to other countries by now. Hell i don't even understand how the UN(or some other humane  society) hasn't stepped in to enforce any laws to protect females in India yet!
This is horror and complete absurdity in it's highest form.

So fucking disgusted.
Vile, wretched inhuman curs.
These lowest forms of human beings deserve their own form of Hitler to deal with them.

Lackluster

The shadow on the wall
My uncle told me this story.
My uncle grew up in a small town in the Philippines. He made a friend in first grade who lived deep in the forests of his town in a small isolated house.
My uncle noticed in his room that there was a black mark/shadow on his wall. It was in the shape of a small baby. When he asked his friend about it, his friend said he would hear a baby in his room every night. He didn’t seem bothered.
My uncle didn’t see him again until a few years later. This time, when visiting his house, the shadow was about 3 feet tall in the shape of a young boy. His friend reported that he would hear footsteps and laughing of  young boy.
My uncle moved away from town and was now of college age. He decided to pay his old friend a visit. He drove into the forest and found that the house was a total wreck and it was dark and empty. He carefully walked inside and found his friend’s bedroom. On the wall, there was the shadow. about 6 feet tall in the shape of a grown man with a hood. My uncle then heard husky chuckling coming from the corner of the dim room. He never went back to that house and never saw his friend since.

-F.yeah Nightmares

I really wonder what happened to that man in the story. Eaten up by that demonic entity in that room perhaps?

In other (not-so-noteworthy)news...
Baby alpaca falling asleepKitten falls asleep suddenly   ...dear god am i tired. It has only been 3 days since school has started so far, and already we've had to hold this sale thing-in which my group sank a fortune into 980 facial masks and thankfully made enough to breakeven-at this super hot, stuffy venue and had this mad hard test today. A report due this Fri. Next week, an exam and a report will be due; same for next and the next and the next...
apparently i've overestimated my capacity for hard work.

On a bright note though, will sign up for my course in Laselle this coming Sun with S. If the both of us get in it'll be like old times; J., S. and me in the same school all over again!
Haha.

Thus shall this end abruptly. Nights y'all ^^

"I Love You"

In Japan, there are 3 ways to say "I Love You":

Daisuki - for friends and persons you like.

Aishiteru - for a more serious relationship.

Koishiteru - for the person you want to spend the rest of your life with.

They ' re amazing 'cause They made this rule to preserve the REAL MEANING of saying "I Love You" and not to LOSE IT MOST OF U.S. DO like.

Gloomy musings

Navigating in this rocky sea as an adult (now)...i find that things are not as clear-cut or easy to solve as they used to be, i guess.
As someone put it: "Look back and think of what we've lost in order to grow up".
The world..is indeed a sickening, exhausting place to be in sometimes. Humans with their petty jealousies, stifling insecurities and the urge to appear superior to others...they dominate this society. No compassion; understanding; good grace or manners?? An insufferable rat-race.

To counter-balance all this negativity in my musings of the world(as it is to me right now):

Just some examples of how breath taking and awesome Nature can be!

Anyway, school has officially started and though i've been skipping the last 2 days of school-unimportant classes and all-, there's no way i can put off the inevitable anymore.
School must start and it's back to the crushing rat race again.
Just when will everyone stop their absurd insecurities and phony facades???

Tsk.
