Graduation!! (and dated pics)

Not my best pic but...hey, it has my parents in it! ^_^ My dad was really happy today, and that makes me cheerful too. #foreverdaddy'sgirl
And my mum! Haha :)

This friend, S., whom i've known for 2 years and counting, introduced me to these other girls...
...and for that, i am thankful! For the moments of laughter, fun and all. :)

<- photobombed by a gleeful uncle. LOL!
What cheek XDD
Anyway, this girl...i always call her Midget, and she calls me Rolling Thunder. Strange nicknames but all in the name of fun! I'm not close to her; prob only know her as an acquaintance but she's one of the most fun, energizing and humorous people i've thus known so far!
One of those friends i don't regret meeting and interacting with throughout these three years, to be frank. :))

<- International Business teacher! I've always liked her forthright, no-nonsense style of teaching. So efficient and respectable..haha. :)

<- Nothing but goodwill and gratitude for this guy(Honour student yo!), for kind-heartedly and good-nature-dly helping me out when i really needed help(for a graded skit),back in 2012/2011! Acts of pure kind-and-good-heartedness should always be remembered and cherished.
:))

Happy times. :)) Dang have i missed this friend so!~
K.Kuma and her trademark Kuma Bear. :)

Bouquet of flowers bought for me by my ever-busy dad. And my lovely mum! ^_^

Man was it a busy day. And for the first time ever; makeup on my face for the whole day! Just concealer, BB cream and blood-red lipstain...shall start using make-up on a daily basis, i think. Every girl loves to look her best, no? :)

On another note...i have mixed feelings about today i guess.
I am very happy that i took all these sweet photos with all the people who matter(which are now proudly displayed here lol!); of course i am!
Yet having to see some faces(black ones at that) called up some unpleasant memories better left to rot.
Thus is part of me glad i went; another...scornful of those certain faces.

But, well, the past is past and there's no use vexing oneself over such trivial matters anymore, i guess.

Belated bday pics!

A., sweet girl that she is, surprised S. and i with these candles! Birthday cake at Secret Recipe right here...twas also here that we had all sorts of talk; mostly nonsensical and humorous...lots of fun and laughter that day, and i am thankful for that! :)
 O Hai new sneaks! <3
The sneaks in question were bought in Vietnam! Sketcher's wedge sneakers. <3

<- Nicely edited by A. :))  In all honesty, i think we were the loudest group in that Secret Recipe branch in PS that day. Hahaha! XD
It was a day intended to celebrate  W.N's, S.'s and my birthday, but W.N didn't come >.<

Another round of belated celebrations tmr-with Sarah and Joey!-and i'm really thankful to have friends who care to celebrate this 20th for me, despite not keeping in touch for quite an amount of time.
I really appreciate it. I do. :)
I just hope they'll be able to come to my birthday chalet next year! Though i must say, idk if i should celebrate it with a short 3d2n trip overseas(will be paying for it myself-hey i'm a full-fledged adult after all! ><-so a luxuriant, long trip won't be possible ><) or a chalet...but, no matter. Tis not the time o be thinking of such things yet.

Shall end this post with some pics of Vietnam/Cambodia!
Mostly pics about what left an impression on me, that is. ^^
<- Apparently Vietnam has it's own perfume and it comes in porcelain bottles! Seems a novelty, having been used to perfumes in glass bottles in like, forever~~

Yes, this is one of their shopping centers. Where rather cultural items and humid, rank air prevails...

Matcha cheese cake at Tea Leaf. Delicious!! If only if SG had it!
<- I promise that this building looks way more awesome/impressive up close!
Buffet dinner on a cruise ship! These performers later danced and sang, and some happy westerners got up and danced along. So cute and spontaneous! Haha :)
Breakfast at this posh hotel's buffet~
Tis blurry, but i was impressed with the French influenced architecture and lightwork there! If i ever visit France i suspect i'd simply sit in a park and gape at all that beauty...either that or be so overwhelmed that i lose my sense of wonder and appreciation and simply snap away at delicious french cuisine.
<- hidey-holes and narrow tunnels used in the Vietnam War...impressed!
I was struck by the lovely contrast between the elegant, stately surroundings and the boisterous sounds of these village children playing in them.
What a relaxed way of life! Almost benevolent on the manager's part to allow them to play within what would normally otherwise be another run-of-the-mill touristy restaurant.
 Pretty, intricate wood-and-iron-work!
I swear, if it weren't for my severe sore throat...(and my disapproving mum ><)...
 Scrumptious!

<- Beautiful. Am beginning to slightly regret not getting it now!

 Hello! :)
That's my panicky and excited mum flailing in terror at...the slowly waving tail of the snake right there. LOL!
Lizards are unusually big in Vietnam. (spot anything unusual? XD)
 My current obsession!! <3
Drawing/clumsily constructed envelope for the local tour-guide, to hold the tips we gave him. ^^
To digress a little, i really should practice my drawing skills again. >_<
Cambodia's airport. Super resort-like and relaxed or what!! :D
Petrol kiosk... far cry from the gleaming, fully-stocked and equipped kiosks we Singaporeans are used to. ><
The rest of Cambodia was arid country-land and kampong life.
Honestly on slight reflection, there's one thing i'll miss about Vietnam, and that would be it's lush green landscapes and bright blue skies..and the occasional body of water. Those sights coupled with good music(listened to Hurts!) on long bus rides were the best! :)

And now...pics of Victoria Ankor Resort and Spa. Gonna spam! It could not seem impressive in pictures, but man, i loved this place so. :D
I use the past tense, as now, with air-con readily available anywhere and everywhere, i begin to realise that the frigid hotel air was indeed the large main factor that made me miss it so.
And the heavenly massages!!

<- Cute little pots containing bath-liquids!! Would've loved to take them home with me. >.<
And after this temporary respite, off we went into the scorching outdoors again!
<- their canals were mere ditches...plant life blossomed and flourished there! This city-girl is foolishly(?) fascinated and drawn by this sight. Haha!
This bumbling, perpetually-confused girl is the last you'd want to enlist, Mr Bond. Haha!
<- 6 little temple ruins, to whet our appetites for the greater ones that lay ahead...these were my favourite so far though! Something in me's drawn to ruins and the great forces of nature. It's just so calming and peaceful to me, somehow...

Yet another temple!
 Hi mum! :)
Unfortunately my camera died on me(at that most opportune moment atop that temple!!)so. No further pics. ):
Hotel and the antiquated elevator next to the flight of steps!

I can quite honestly state that i was overawed by the sheer..vastness and abundance of raw, natural beauty there. I mean, i didn't even think much of that pic(the mountain and small canal) when i snapped it at that moment! But only now-in this concrete jungle-do i appreciate it.

Look at the work on that slab of rock! Amazing detail. :D
Tourist-shops!   Lots of painters and talent in Cambodia. Humbling and inspiring.
Temple where Tomb Raider was shot at! And this cute guy and his teddy...
 Isn't he adorable? XD haha!
