popin cookin curry setpopin cookin curry set

They're super uber mini versions of real food and according to this lady's blog, taste just like the real thing!
OMG.
And the toy set they're using to make all this food on is just Adorable!!
Excuse me while i go puke rainbows.
And contemplate heading to the nearest Kiddy Palace/Toysaurus to get this cute set.
:DD

(edit):
On another note, i've been reading the more famous SG blogs, and am currently reading Ester Xie's(http://www.estherxie.com) blog right now...have to say, this entry really resonates with me:
http://www.estherxie.com/2010/05/friends.html
I totally agree with her.
True, real friends are supposed to be there for each other, to completely-or even 90% also can-accept each other for who they are and be willing to give a lot of effort to make the friendship work.
I did that once, but i was looking for true friendship in what i thought was the 'right' place.
I hope there's many people out there like this blogger, who's looking for kindred spirits out there too!

Emmy 2012 dresses

I know, i know, ions late, but some of these dresses are gorgeous!

bohemea:

Jessica Pare - 2012 Emmys

ELEGANZA! <- She looks super elegant in this dress, and i can't help but envy her swan's neck. Ah, if but my neck were as graceful as hers!

Kate Mara at the 2012 Emmys, September 23rd
Look everyone, it’s Lisbeth Salander’s sister!
Floral lace perfection <3

Emilia Clarke hit all the right marks and is my best dressed of the night. Chanel! White with a deep purple accent! Simple, elegant hair and makeup! Chanel! Did I mention Chanel!? IT IS KNOWN.
This Chanel gown is just gorgeous. That purple hue!

bohemea:

January Jones - 2012 Emmys
January looks lovely in Zac Posen. She’s always such a delight to watch on the red carpet.

She’s not sad, her people are Nordic. Zac Posen creation. I wonder about that sheer, gauzy fabric. Is that tulle, taffeta or...?

bohemea:

Aaron Paul - 2012 Emmys
Bow-ties, bitch!
Aaron Paul. I just find him cute, is all. :D
There's something about guys in bowties that amuse and slightly delight me...i think it's because men-who by society's standards have to be all 'macho' and masculine-don these otherwise feminine accessories for the sake of looking formal.
Men whose faces are slightly less masculine(not meant in a bad way), wearing bowties...ah, how cute! ^_^

The dress on the left is the one Anne Hathaway wore to the NYC Ballet Gala on the 21st

<- Dita Von Teese! <3

Anything even remotely Renaissance-like, i adore.
Emma Watson (swan neck envy again ): )

And lastly, photos of the ever-lovely and inspiring Dita:
(via uglyeyelashes)
Pic shamelessly copped from SuicideBlond's Tumblr.
I love how her alabaster skin complements that navy gown so well...
submitted by sugarypeach This is the only instance when i find some truth in that saying that earrings can make it's wearer more flattering. Dita's complexion... <3<3<3

I sincerely hope that one day, my own creations will be deemed fit by this elegant lady to wear to one of her invitations. :)

Fashion blurbs

I've been following this fashion Tumblr, http://suicideblonde.tumblr.com recently and i've...been left in awe at the sheer craftsmanship that has gone into some of these creations. And the ingenuity and beauty of it all.. :DD

Classic Thierry Mugler...
It's so ethereal it's kinda my style but at the same time, if i saw this in my nightmares i'd probably go:
awkward moment when a cartoon is even prettier than you..

(Via/FOLLOW The Absolute Best GIFs) "...the hell was that...?"

But at the same time i wonder what material he used to construct such a fabrication. Wow~

Gareth Pugh Spring/Summer 2013 <- Love how the structured ridged top flows into this kinda-flouncy, loose mass of frills at the bottom! A Gareth Pugh creation~

Gianfranco Ferre Spring/Summer 2013

I was literally goggling at the craftsmanship on the first belted dress...a fitted, impeccably tailored dress like that would be welcome in my wardrobe anytime! :D
I prefer the 2nd dress on the left as well. A smaller, more discreet belt would have been preferred but it just looks elegant in a way~

Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2013
Roberto Cavali

...how??? I really want to know how these designers laser-cut these intricate details. Do they spread out the fabric then pass it under some laser equipment or...?
Roberto Cavalli Spring/Summer 2013 Roberto again. Am digging the cut-outs at the hipbones...too much cleavage and thighs are overrated! A dress with a hint of ample cleavage and exposed hipbones would tickle my fancy. Teehee.

Kate Winslet
Kate Winslet. The last pic-i like. :)

In other news, i didn't get to watch Dredd today ): O. had an unexpected crop-up at the last min, and my parents wanted me to stay home with them tonight. Thus do we herald the arrival of Mid Autumn Festival with mooncakes and green tea! Or guava juice, in my dad's case.
Hope the churchmates will have another get-together next year~ Hopefully all will go as planned then!

Nights all. :)

Coming to terms

I guess we've grown apart, although i don't know why...but i hope you'll still remember those memories we made 2 years back.
:)
I will for sure.

Chilly night

The chill night wind,
tempered by the rain
brings forth some benefits,
that some may stand to gain

In the silent night, some sleep
While others stay awake
Each busy with untold things;
some waiting for the rain to abate

Now in my lit room, i sit
a book on lap; a warm cup in hand
And immerse myself in the little things in life
That such peace to one's psyche can rend.

...a little impromptu poem that sprang to mind, inspired by the lovely rainy weather we're having here in SG tonight...the night air's so cold and fresh! <3
Love it. Now if only if everyday could be like this... ^_^

Step Up 4(spoilers)-

-was gooooood! Honestly i was expecting really crappy acting(like those of Z-list actor, haha), cause a large majority of the reviews were negative, but it was great! :)

Well, or at least the dance segments were. As in, those were the parts were super impressionable, but come to think of it, the acting wasn't all...'there'. Haha.
The parts which really excited me were the dance scenes at the beginning of the movie-with the cars on their hind wheels and the uber cool dancers moving in such tight, controlled, slick movements in formation-and the dance act in the art museum. I especially loved how surreal the scene with ballerinas-with neon, glow in the dark beads sewn into their costumes-dancing to trance music was. That dreamy, fluid and quick rhythm pacing those graceful, languid movements kind of brought it to a whole different level for me. Oh gosh was it good!! Imma download that segment if i can and watch it again and again and again~
How i love surreal stuff. <3
I also experienced a small, cold frisson of dismay when the antagonist betrayed the protagonist(his best bud and leader of The Mob, i think). To expose his best bud's girlfriend in that fashion to her father, and reveal her rebellion(and betrayal of sorts)!
Tsk.
I must say, i can't remember when any movie made me react with that bit of dismay. Perhaps this too is what makes this movie kind of memorable for me~

Anyway, so, met S. for lunch before watching said movie today! Hot Tomato's Student Lunch is goooood. :D
Look at that yumminess! The ice lemon tea had that right amount of sweetness(or so i think, but then again i've a high threshold for sweet stuff) and the noodles were nicely seasoned. Chicken chop was dry at some bits but overall it was good! Only $10 or so too. ^_^

After the movie we went to Daiso, where i bought this:
The clothes hanger and little container, that is. The ancient clothes hanger in my house is practically on it's last hinges alr -.-

And lovely, light-gold Swallow hairclips from Lovisa!
Attempted artsy shot No. 1~

Been looking for swallow accessories recently, and i think these would do just fine! :)

Attempted artsy shot No.2. Haha.

Granted Lovisa is a pricey place, but their accessories...!! I saw rings and necklaces which i totally am (still) infatuated with-a silver necklace with a row of tiny silver skulls; neon and neutral-colored skull rings, pretty rings with intricate details and bright gemstones and so many more..!
It's newly opened(Lvl 2 at Plaza Sing)so they don't have a membership program yet ): I asked...damn. But i am Totally planning on getting said membership. Rings and necklaces and headpieces and earrings!!!
My shopaholic, bargain-loving heart palpitates wildly at the thought of discounts on such glory.
Non fellow-shopaholics could not possibly comprehend...
...alright, i've finished dramatizing. Teehee.

Also spotted a gorgeous bohemian-like dress that dear O. has told me to get, so imma head back there on Wed!!! I hope no one gets it before me D:

Anyway, here's my new earring-box:

My long earrings are in another box. I think the lack of extra space in this wee box will discourage me from spending anymore money on earrings!
I hope!

Thus ended my day. :) It was a nice one.
Nights y'all! :)

Ps:
A reminder that success isn't a vertical path, but a long, arduous and possibly winding one...

<- that dress!!! Le gasp <3

...something to think about, probably. Haha~
Copped this from another's blog...i also realized that this 'blog' isn't really a blog at all; it's more like a scrapbook filled with memories, emotions and thoughts. Also random useless shopping buys and 'potential buys' but anyways.
XD

Versace Spring/Summer 2013

bohemea:

Versace Spring/Summer 2013

Can i just say how much i love this collection? :D Especially that blue, flowy dress on the left..cool, solid metal holding flowy, light chiffon together..i bet the textures would feel so great on skin.

I really like this pic too:
Versace Spring/Summer 2013 The vibrancy of this colour plus the unrestrained motion of those metallic, glinting tassels all evoke this notion of it's wearer being the 'life of a party'. Goes without saying that this would seem to be a guaranteed head turner, i would think~

image Love this. So ingenious, this dress!

I wonder if any of my sketches will be up to par with such designers...brings a frission of fear to my heart, yet a little rush of adrenaline and eagerness to see how my designs would do in this huge world of fashion!
Here's to hope, large dreams and ambitions. :DD

Little blurbs

http://9gag.com/gag/5410521:
A street child(looks Philipino) singing 'I Will Always Love You' by Whitney Houston.
OMG.
That voice is flawless and completely astounding... such a stark contrast to those squalid surroundings. He need sot be signed to a record company stat!

As a commentator puts it, to think J.B and other untalented people are prattling away on MTV and real talent nearly goes unnoticed on everyday streets... -.-
Tsk.

Ps: Gentlemen help

Dita Von Deese! :D One of my role models! Such decorum, gentility and absolute class~~

Kindness is more than often undermined.

...sometimes it also seems completely underrated, or at least it seems to me, judging from the people i've encountered in my life.

I had a stroke of luck today, in a sense...my in-charge got annoyed with me for panicking, in my haste to serve a customer and forgot to check stock for sizes. So she immediately called Suntec City's Giordano and had me posted there. To see what the in-charges there had to say about me, i guess.
Have to admit that the thought of taking MCs to avoid going to the branch at Suntec did flit through my mind...and the strong apprehension that i was going to step into a new boiling pot of stress and temper tantrums and scoldings by said in-charges.
Long story short, they were quite nice and friendly...especially one nice, kind, skinny little chinese-malaysian boy. :)
Taught me things with such patience, and he was so nice about it too! Afterwards he told me to follow him to the mrt (cause i had no idea how to get to the nearest mrt and he told me i would get lost if i went on my own way, haha)and we talked-most of it was how i could improve in work tho.

Point is, i haven't experienced such a copious flow of kindness and such patience in such a freaking long while. I especially didn't expect it from anyone from Giordano, considering the hostile reception i got from day 1 on the job(despite being friendly and all to them.). But he was so nice, encouraging me, telling me his life story(he's really open and frank and lively)to inspire me to ,well...stay strong and hold on. Sounds cheesy but yes, that's what i can best describe it as.

I still don't understand how malicious of intent that f..ktard's friend-who i helped with his mum's medical condition and helped on his free day off-could actually be. I don't know how and why anyone could do such a horrible, despicable thing to anyone who actually helped him so much. I didn't even give him any attitude. I realize i'm getting ahead of myself; this is what happened(it was actually a post that i saved as a draft, thus the lengthiness):

If there's anything i've learnt today, it's that i shouldn't be so naive when it comes to judging a person's character...nor should i easily offer aid to them. Either that or maybe these two are just f..ked up pretty bad in the head and heart.

I was told by my new superior that apparently, i 'take more than 20 mins whenever i go to the loo and bring my hp with me', and that i' give attitude once someone is too lenient on me'....as according to my previous supervisor and f..ktard.
Now the fact is, that yes, i do bring my hp to the loo with me. But for goodness sake, what would i be doing in the loo for 'more than 20 minutes'?! Entertain patrons with medleys or dances, perhaps? And i can't even believe the audacity with which they stated the above.
'Give attitude'? The only instances i can think of that come close to this is my ribald joking and being easy going. Perhaps they found this annoying, they being so serious about their work and all. And that time when i gave f..ktard that look.

I really was super stunned when she told me this. I cannot believe the sheer gall of these two bastards. One who evidently took offence with me from day 1(although all i did was to treat him like a new friend) and one who-and this is something i sincerely, really find most outrageous-i helped.
The latter is f..ktard's friend, and i've helped him by giving him medical advice(asked my mum who's a nurse)for his mum. Also agreed to help him by coming to work on my Off Day, because if i didn't, he'd be the only one manning the store for the whole morning. He even thanked me for it that night.

Now this.
I can't believe this.
You help someone out, think that you guys are on amicable terms after chatting away cordially and boom, they shoot this shit right at you in your face.
Why does this sort of shit always happen to me, really? I have tons of bad luck when it comes to working, seriously. It's either that or i think far too highly of people in general(like believing they know the difference between right and wrong, having morals and all and knowing when to be grateful and what not to do, etc).
Was so stunned and pissed simultaneously that i nearly cried in the shop today. -_- Seriously i can't believe a pair of unreasonably biased bastards nearly made me cry. I never expected this.
Sigh.

Yet there's sort of a bright side to everything though.
I wasn't informed that one'd be on a trial run for 3 months to see if i was suitable for Giordano, and that one'd be fired upon receiving 3 warning letters. I got one, apparently for arriving late 2 times. Can't argue with that.
However, my new superior-who can be super strict and fierce and scary when it comes to effectively making sales-has told me that she can help me cancel said warning letter.
I've really got to prove to her that i'm an asset and that those lies are nothing but untruths, seriously.
Not sure yet but if things really get further out of hand, i plan on suing those buggers; Defamation of Character. I've the CCTV footage to back me up after all.

Seriously, today's been one of those days that i've received a mighty blow. Sigh.
I think i'd better go rely on fengshui masters or fortune tellers or people like that to reverse my luck or smth. Or at least advise me on the types of jobs i would've better luck in. :/
It's just so sickening, getting all this bad luck in life, all these setbacks, all this painful shit. Seriously.
Must've been Hitler in a past life or smth to receive such copious amounts of bad luck.
Sigh.
Perhaps it's for the best that i become an introvert again or smth. Seriously can't tahan so much of this. :l

But anyway, so yes, that happened. I don't know why this happened, i really don't. Anyway that kind boy-'K.', echoed the gist of it: "You helped him and he harmed you?".
Can't tell you how much of a relief it was to finally have someone understand the circumstances in my situation, and be willing to listen and understand.
He kept on telling me encouraging, positive things in the mrt and made me laugh.
I sincerely hope he rises to a position of great power and influence in the future-the world needs more kind, patient, benevolent people such as he. I do.

Now i'm wondering if i should just go ahead and quit. It may seem feeble-minded of me to state that i've only come to terms with my own despondency after hearing him say that he "would quit if he were me, 'cause you're clearly so unhappy there". I guess i just internalized all that negativity in Novena's Giordano and somehow thought that i was at fault...though that's not to say i'm partially not(forgetting to greet loudly, check stock). Yet i need $$ cause i totally blew my past paycheck on stuff. -.- Shopaholic's karma, perhaps.

Sheesh, i really have some serious bad luck when it comes to jobs. I'm not fated to work, perhaps. The fates must be telling me to be a tai tai. Haha!

On another note, i really hope i'll gain such kind, good-hearted people such as he as friends in the future. The world needs more people like these, seriously. Was so touched by his sincere, kind-hearted words that i couldn't stop tearing up on my walk back home from the mrt.
-_-
Sigh.
To quit or not to quit, that is ze question.

Funny lyrics:

The Hotel California in Kerala style with Lyrics.flv

AKA Hotel California with an Indian twist. :D

Skyrim's misheard lyrics. Have a gander; it'll definitely make you nearly bust a gut laughing~

Basically, this was what i was entertaining myself with after returning home today, after rushing to work thinking i had to work today. I can be so annoyingly blur sometimes -.-
Can't get enough of the Skyrim one. Haha!

Little happenings~

Was actually so pissed and incredulous about the entire happenings of ytd that i couldn't fall asleep at all, and went to meet O. for b.fast at Bishan today -.-
In short, we had fun, discovered this little shop selling the most sweet and pretty dresses ever(still wondering if i should get that necklace and dress!)and then headed of to Serangoon Gardens for...5 hours or so of K. Damn was it fun. :D
Then dinner and a surprise b.day thingy for one of the members. So sweet :)

Am currently exhausted, and work at 10am awaits tmr...work with that F..ktard. May the gods grant me enough inner peace and serenity not to confront these arseholes.
Sigh.

Nights, y'all!

The Messenger -Linkin Park

When you feel you're alone,
cut off from this cruel world
Your instincts telling you to run

Listen to your heart-
those angel faces
they'll sing to you
they'll be your guide
back home
where life leaves us blind
love keeps us kind

it keeps us kind.
When you suffered it all
and your spirit is breaking
you're growing desperate from the fight

Remember you're loved
and you always will be
this melody will always bring
you right back home

When life leaves us blind
Love, keeps us kind!
When life leaves us blind
Love keeps us kind!

I love how Linkin Park lyrics are always so 'relatable', encouraging and somehow, comforting to me.
Had an absolutely shitty day at work today and am probably kind of depressed atm.
Love how the lyrics encourage one to stay above nefarious, despicable acts despite what has been done to them.

-Listen to your heart-
those angel faces
they'll sing to you
they'll be your guide.-

Mmmhmm. :)

Improvised boxes

Apparently, this is what you get when KFC runs out of paper boxes...

...even at 3.30pm. Kind of gave me a jolt of anxiety cause i hadn't had anything apart from a glass of water all day before my morning jog, and i was looking forward to Cheesy Pockets(is that what it's called?)! But then i cracked open the lid...and i beheld it's delicious glory. :D'

Another improvised box my food came in, in the past:
This humble-looking pizza is actually quite nice, trust me! From a foodcourt at Toa Payoh, only $8.90. :)

Me in all my unglam glory. Behold my broad forehead...as well as one of my favorite drinks. :D

Anyway, nothing on these days, 'cept that i've gotten some headway on my portfolio. Will post pics up soon, i think~
And a bit of good news: my poly friend is coming to work with me at Giordano! :DD I can't wait, she's the really chatty and fun sort so it's like, almost a guarantee that work days will be considerably more enjoyable in the future! Can't wait, can't wait :D

Thus shall end this post.
Ta! :)

Smelling the Roses-

-of Life's little pleasures, and boy are they great especially after days of boredom and stress.
Said stress and boredom being direct results of work and bossy senior co-workers. -.-

Anyway, there was work for me this morning, as it turned out. But i guess it was good in a way, cause it gave me even more reason to go work out in the gym! Then had sushi, baby octopus and milk pudding for lunch.
And had a pedi!

...ah, to have soft, smooth soles again...! Totally in love with the shade a.t.m. too~

It was nice to have time to myself again. Reading a good book over delicious food, shopping on one's own, generally just being independent...that solitary silence accompanying everything just somehow gives me a sense of peaceful bliss. Love that feeling. :)

Toodles!

Mini shopping spree

Hola, amigos!
It is with great pleasure that i tell you...that there's no work for me from tmr to Friday! :D
Finally, a few days of reprieve!

I think i'm beginning to get why some people go all 'You're young and bright, just give it a few more years in retail. You'll be like us, all dour...'. There're some really nice customers who respond politely and are totally friendly to you upon seeing your welcoming smile(not being thick-skinned lah, just describing), and then there're the annoying, rude and irritable ones, those who seem to harbor a grudge against the world. Not used to getting these types, as Robinsons generally had more pleasant, 'upscale' customers(interned there for 2 months while i've been working for 1 week in Giordano here...), but there's always stuff to be learnt from everything!
:)

On another more familiar topic, i present to you...
...my shopping for today. Sasa had a sale and i had to get an extra pair of trackpants for gym...haven't gotten my extra top, shoe bag and sneaker-spearmint deodorizers though. Which means More Shopping!!! :D
Got two pairs of earrings from this little corner shop in Sq2, black rose earrings from Sasa's sales and OPI nail polish! Not pictured here is a mini bottle of shampoo and body scrub.

I'm really happy with my OPI buy, cause, look! :
It totally matches this pink-bloom hairclip i bought from Helen a few weeks back! :DD
The most bimbotic of things can make me happy, there's no denying that. Haha!

Have also been making an effort to work out more! I'm proud of myself and all, but my mum tempted me with Magnum ice cream after dinner today...it was the berry-studded, deliciously milk-chocolate-coated one.
I ate it.
I'm feeling so guilty right now and am mentally kicking myself as i type.
When my mom says she wants to talk to me.

Will i never shed these pounds?!

I'm gonna gym for 2 hours straight tmr, s t r a i g h t, i tell you!
Okay it's time to game.
Toodles y'all!

Abby from NCIS: My fav Goth girl! ^_^

Anyway, gymed with S. today, had Cedele's absolutely yummy clam chowder and bread for dinner before work.
I shall aim to gym everyday...off with these useless kgs of fat!
Ta, peeps! ^_^
