Little Jottings: CNY Prep~

At this rate i should change my URL to 'MiniSpawnOf9Gag' or smth. I've been thinking of changing it to 'JunoesqueGiraffe' though.

'Junoesque' means 'full bodied'; apt for my size. :)

A Giraffe, because it's grounded(literally), yet it's head is up in the sky in the clouds(well the neck's not that long but anyway). :) I think it makes sense and the mental imagery i have is kinda nice. ^^

Anyway, friends would have heard me whining about how an E.O.Y test is gonna occur this coming Wed, right smack in the CNY week. I rmb using to spend at least 4 or 5 days visiting when i was a kid...time really flies. One of my best memories was when, at P5 or so, my fam took off to the airport after visitations...was like having one good thing after another(used to play and have fun with my now-estranged cousins back then). Fond memories. :))

Let watching K Pop mvs get in my way of properly studying today... >_< 'Sistar' is good though; i like their voices! And dance moves. :D

Gonna chiong like mad tmr cause i wanna properly immerse myself in this festive mood at night(Chinatown; gonna be mad packed tho)and on Mon! Then back to studying on Tues. Sigh, less $$ coming my way. But well.

Also, just hung up CNY decorations with my parents...my dad's bemoaning the mysterious ruin of this light-changing, fake flower-festooned tree that he always puts up in the living room. Pity stores don't stock it anymore though...

On another note(pardon these hops in topic!), i hope to transit from young-adult-student to adulthood in proper fashion by mid-year. Esp since i'll be graduating.

GRADUATING THIS YEARRRRRRRR!!!

Oh boy i can't wait. Then i'll be jetting off to Korea with my poly mates for 8 days!! :DD If things go as planned, that is...haha. My mum has surprisingly agreed.

Ey i got sidetracked.

I want to get my driver's license(can drive my parents around and make them happy. These days i've realized that they're really aging. Like physical pains and all... :( ), really get working(hopefully at Robinsons!) to earn my own keep and work on my portfolio for an Art uni.

Oh speaking of Robinsons, i got in! I'm really pleased about this, because i rmb being all "I LOVE CLOTHES AND FASHION" during the first John Little interview and hoping like mad i got to work in the clothes department...as it turned out, i think my interviewer referred me to the H.R Manager of Robinsons instead. Mad ecstatic when i saw the website(the night before the interview), cause it's a retail storeeee!

You may think of my (current)aspirations as little when i say i've been wanting to work at a retail store for like, months. LOL. At least it kinda counts as exposure to the world of fashion... *dreamy-eyed*

Diversion aside, i also want not to feel this slight pang of guilt and..queer as it seems, embarrassment, when i receive my weekly allowance from my dad, or ask my mother to for extra cash(damn my love of shopping!). Nothing's wrong with receiving money from parents, blah blah blah but they're going to be paying a shitload for further education i'll be getting, as well as giving me my allowance.

Plus the age factor. I seriously feel guilty. I know everyone faces these kind of thing in their lives too, but. :/

It just seems wrong luh. Especially at 18. I'm an young adult who, i feel, should be earning her keep.

Have been working on saving $$ too.

Laud me for that, please. :D HAHA.

I will study like the good student i am tommorow (LOL).

On a random note, the skin of this slice of apple i'm currently eating tastes like banana.

Come Monday, all will converge upon my grandmother's house...and i'll be floundering, trying to cope with awkwardness trying to converse with both of my cousin's girlfriends i suspect.

I am all a-fluster with joy and anticipation!
