...ARE OVERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Sweet Mary Joseph Jesus Christ!
Or, since i'm not a Christian, er...Amitabah Busa Buddha?
Nevermind, i made that up.
Sweet Buddha, the damned exams are finally over, and the hols have properly started...!!!!!!!!
OMG.
The reality of this only sunk in after i watched Brave with Sam. at Cine today -.- Before that we were like...cavepeople who had seen the first ray of sunlight and not known how to cope with it.
Melodramatic. Deal with it (please). :))
Actually i didn't mind studying for the exams that much; it was just memorizing parts of my notes.
Since i have so much time, allow me to bore you with my tedious study-journey.
4 days before the first test, i was like this (while my group were stressing out and all):
While studying for all three tests:
While doing the papers:
...esp during hard ones(like GSCM dammit i think i gotta retake/ go through that module again nest sem fml D:), when i'm looking around looking at everyone breezing through their papers and wondering wtf is going on...
And finally, yeah...the end of exams. Reality hadn't sunk in yet!
But anyway, Sam and i went to watch Brave at Cine, after deliberating if we should go with K. and the rest to watch this Horror flick, I Miss You.
The main reason why i didn't wanna watch that horror flick(S. was okay with anything)was because,
1) Tmr's the 7th Month Ghost Festival where all the ghosts in the underworld are allowed to roam earth(it's a Chinese thingy)!! For a month!
And fml my room is eerily dark at night and my having a vivid...and sometimes morbid and gruesome mind does not help at all(i had these really freaky images pop up in my mind at night while lying in my bed, during that time i was reading horror blogs...like a white, ghastly face with black, gaping punctures for eyes and grotesque, yawning jaws suddenly appearing by my bedside).
There are also these really loud, crashing noises-sounded like beer bottles or thick glass being thrown, and broken on the floor-from the unit above my apartment. My parents got fed up and one day, my mum went to ask the security guard if any other tenants had complained of said 'upstairs neighbour(U.N)' antics, and he replied yes. He also told her what the female cleaner told him, that she was convinced the U.N practiced black magic..apparently she had been on her daily cleaning-rounds and she chanced upon this knot of hair under the U.N's welcome mat. She pulled it up-to clean the surface underneath-and she found this little doll with hair tied around it.
No joke.
She told the security guard that she just flung it under the mat again and took the lift to the first floor where he was at(the security guard's booth is in front of my block of units). According to him, she was really shaken, babbling and all.
...Goodness, what a digression.
But anyway, yeah, this knowledge does nottttttttttt help matters at all, esp after having watched horror movies...stopped after watching 'Drag Me To Hell' though...really way scary, that tapping, gnarled and stained thumb and the old lady lying in the bed...eek!
Okay i was supposed to provide a second point, but it just fused into my first point(incorporated little real-life scary story), so.
Anyway, so Sam and i went to Cine at Somerset. Lunched and chatted at the food court, walked around and then finally went to watch Brave.
It was GOOOOOOOD.
Totally had that feel-good feeling after watching it! :D
(Okay wait, the spoilers are gonna start now: )
The little brothers-turned-bears were so cute!! I wish there had been more shots of them.
And for a Pixar movie, it was very moving.
The strength of a mother's love(the mother-who turned into a bear after ingesting this potion Meredith obtained, in order to make her mother 'change' her mind regarding her betrothal), so forcefully displayed when she protected her daughter against the rogue, larger, grizzled bear when it tried to kill her, and
the extreme guilt and fear for her mother's life(after she had been turned into a bear) when her bear-hating father, who was ignorant of the potion's effects, went on a hunt with all his armed soldiers to kill her.
Yeah, lots of killing going on, ik. Come to think of it, it could possibly be kind of...idk, unsuitable for kids, cause it can be so dark at times?
Nevertheless, these dark scenes were fully balanced out with a good dose of humour! I can't describe the many scenes at length, cause they're just all spread out throughout the movie, but they really engaged the audience. Full-on sensory delight(well, maybe just to the eyes and ears lah, and taste if you've any yummy drinks and snacks with you~)!!!
God was it good. I should probably buy the CD, it's a real keeper! Haha, i think i just did a rave review. XD
But it was a welcome breath of fresh air, after all the relatively bad ones i watched...oh, esp since it's after the exams! Start the hols off with a bang, eh? :D (yes, in my mundane life, i consider feeling jubilant and excited a 'bang', okay). Haha!
Oh wait, just realised i watched Total Recall with Odie too! After my first paper. We were supposed to watch Brave and Total Recall on the same day, but we were both late! So we watched Total Recall.
It was good(but not as awesome as Brave hor! Or maybe i'm just biased :D).
The lead actor's acting was believable, the script exciting, the whole design of the landscape and environment was totally...exotic and fascinating. It combined the queer, exotic strangeness of Japan and well, what seems to me to be ghetto-like slums?
And oh gosh, was Kate Beckinsale brilliant. Idk why, but i always seem to favor the baddies in films...esp if they're as kick-ass, lethal and just so in-charge and dominant, a force to be reckoned with, like the character she portrays in most movies(Van Helsing, this movie, etc...)!
So cool, omgah. :D
She plays a secret agent who first acts as the lead character's(L.C)wife, then has to kill him...with considerable, mighty gusto and blood-lust, may i say. Not gonna go into detail about the plot, too lazy :D
But well, after this movie...i think she may be my girl-celeb crush.
Woo!
That accent, that i-will-kick-your-ass-make-no-mistake-about-it attitude, that strength, agility and general bad-assedness(sorry, awkward 'word' but idk what other word to use!). So awesome. :D
Ps: Straight girls can have girl-celeb crushes too. :)
Anyway, that feel-good emotion immediately sparked the realisation that...HOLS HAVE FINALLY STARTED and i was all:
"NO MORE STUDYING IT'S THE HOLS AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"
Sam just gave me her usual '=.=' face.
):
She did laugh tho. ^^
We parted ways at 6 smth, and off i went to meet Sarah and Joey!
My annoying, damned LG hp had died(bloody charger seriously malfunctioning; can't even charge my hp!), so i was using my dad's laopok(chinese word for 'old-fashioned and ancient') Nokia.
Was actually, well...a little embarrassed about using it, so i pretended i was a foreigner. I often get told i look like i come from HK or look Indo-Chinese or whatnot, so might as well make use of this fact right? Foreigners also use such phones in alien countries, or the bulk of them do, i think.
The might of social stigma. -_- LOL.
This woman kept on picking up the phone when i tried to call Sarah on that Nokia, and she told me with an accent, 'I think you're calling the wrong number'. She was nice and courteous about it though. ^^
Was waiting for Sarah's call against a wall, then J. and S. popped up by my side while i was fiddling with the laopok Nokia.
Thus was Joey's first look at me in idkhowmanymonthsorweeks of me with a 'wtf-is-this,-bloody-hell' look.
Haha!
So anyway, we had dinner at Pepper Lunch(hadn't had that in a year or more; i very rarely get cravings for it) and caught up with one another :D
Afterwards we just walked around and shopped for a bit at Topshop; i got this cute heart ring! Will take a pic of it tmr, i think ^^ S. and J. got stuff too, then we went home.
It was fun! ^____________^
Hopefully we can all make it next next week, and go out again. :)
Gg out with S. tmr, to Robinsons... hope they've Melissa shoes there; i really want this pair of black shoes!
And i prob should reward myself with a new storybook, hopefully a new Stephen King and maybe another novel too. :D yay books~
Okay, it's more than due time to game.
But before logging off, pix of the day:
Getting her mochi fix!
Sizable fish which i've never seen in shrink-wrapped form before! The rock i live under is comfortable enough, thank you. :)
<- Two pretty models! :))

This judgmental woman actually turned her head all the way to stare at the three of us taking pics and Sarah went (i quote): "EY!!! WHY THAT WOMAN KEEP LOOKING AT US?!?!!"
LOL!!!
No but really, have some sense of decorum, people. How rude, that woman.
Idk why i look bemused. But LOL look at Sarah's angry face!
Then we went back to taking pics again:

<- Joey: "What on earth, that woman..."

And finally, one last shot to remind y'all of how chiooooo(and how incredibly thick-skinned i am), i present to you:
Nah my bigass face. Enjoy.
LOL.
But yeah, it was a good day. :)))))
The best so far in this month! Haha.
Be free next next week again, you guys! :DD
OKay, now am finally off to game. Took 1 hour to finish this post, my goodness.
Haha, toodles! ^_^
